I had the amazing privilege of shooting a wonderful Indian wedding last month as a 2nd lead shooter with Kenny Kim in Oak Brook, Illinois. This was an amazing 3 day wedding celebration filled with color, food, fun, and lots of great music. I love these images!
Engagement Session: Shaun + Meredith
July 11th, 2011I had the pleasure of having Shaun and Meredith come out for an engagement session last week here in Chicago. Meredith flew in from Pasadena, where she works for the Tournament of Roses, and I could tell, these two really love the special time they get together. We had a blast going to some fun spots, and completely enjoying the wonderful weather. I look forward to seeing them in September!

Ari + Sarah
June 23rd, 2011I had the privilege of shooting Ari and Sarah Bass’s wedding at the Ivy Room here in Chicago. What a beautiful venue, a truly secret garden smack dab right in the middle of the city! Sarah and Ari were fantastic, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day! Big thanks to Kenny Kim for having me shoot with him, and the incomparable Bob Davis as well!

Mike + Eunice
June 21st, 2011Had the opportunity to shoot Mike and Eunice Kim’s wedding with Kenny Kim at the Royal Melbourne C.C. just outside of Chicago. Even though the storms that day were some of the worst this spring, the skies parted, and we were left with a beautiful afternoon for a wedding!

Shannon + Oscar Engaged
June 10th, 2011My good friend Kenny Kim invited me along to shoot the engagement session for Shannon and Oscar in Naperville, IL. We had a great time, even though it was in 95-degree mid-day heat! They were great sports about being out in the heat, although a few stops into the air conditioning sure helped! I look forward to working with Kenny this September at their wedding!

Hong + Julie
June 8th, 2011
Hong and Julie Kim were married in the fabulous Rookery Building in the financial district of Chicago. If you have not visited this building, it has a great (free!) tour that shows you all the architecture of this amazing Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece. Hong and Julie were so wonderful to photograph.

Chicago Fashion Focus 2010
October 29th, 2010
This year for Chicago’s fashion week, Fashion Focus, I once again donated my services to the lovely community of student designers here in Chicago at Thursday’s “Dress Code” show. Bringing talent from the major design schools, this runway event showcases the future of Chicago fashion and gives young designers a chance to get some experience with runway shows. A big shout out goes to Young Kim of International Academy of Design and Technology for all her hard work!

Location Shoot: H. Sattler Plastics
August 11th, 2010
Ever wonder what happens to all that hard plastic that gets recycled? Well yesterday I had the pleasure to find out during a shoot for H. Sattler Plastics on Chicago’s Southwest side. Sattler recycles plastics by grinding them in to tiny bits and pieces, and then distributing all over the world. Those little pieces get melted in to new plastic items. The people at this company are fantastic, and it shows how a family business can grow and grow throughout the years, (they now have locations in Germany and Malaysia.)
